The bill seeks to amend the Industrial Relations Act 1999 to clarify and improve its operation. It is important to recognise that from January 2010 Queensland referred its private sector
Mr HART (Burleigh—LNP) (3.10 pm): As I flagged in my maiden speech, there are quite a few underutilised resources in my electorate. I rise to speak about one of those today—the Tallebudgera Recreation Centre incorporating the Tallebudgera Leisure Centre. In 2004 the previous government spent $18 million to refurbish this facility. Unfortunately, that is about the last thing that government did with that facility.
Mr HART (Burleigh—LNP) (10.57 pm): The Gold Coast Seniors Tennis Club has approximately 330 members. Over the last week this club and many community clubs surrounding it in the Pizzey Park Sporting Complex have been devastated, brought to their knees by continual robberies.
Community groups across the Burleigh electorate have been invited to put in a bid to share in $12 million available through the Newman Government’s new Everyone's Environment grants program
The Member for Burleigh, Michael Hart, said applications for the grants will open from 1 July, and he encouraged local community groups to apply.
