Boost to V8 Program Turbo-Charges Burleigh Business
Member for Burleigh Michael Hart MP welcomes this morning’s announcement that demonstrates the LNP’s commitment to getting the best deal possible for the Gold Coast.
The month of October will see an increase in events destined for the Gold Coast with a dozen new events announced this morning by Minister for Tourism and Major Events Jann Stuckey.
“The extension to the already successful Gold Coast 600 will support the Newman Government’s goal to double annual overnight visitor expenditure to $30 billion” Mr Hart said.
Burleigh is set to see its own event being held on James Street with a V8 SuperKartDerby being presented by the team behind Cooly Rocks On.
“This blast from the past emerging in the present will see volumes of tourists and locals flock to the Burleigh CBD and bring their wallets with them” he said.
“The AmorAll Gold Coast 600 will inject tourism dollars into small businesses across the Coast and I am excited that Burleigh businesses will see the benefit.”
The V8 SuperKartDerby will take place on 20 October as part of the Superfest line up.
