Coordinator General delivers Quarry for Christmas

Today the green light was given to the development of a new quarry on the Gold Coast by the independent Coordinator General much to the frustration of our Southern Gold Coast MPs.

Member for Burleigh Michael Hart MP is dismayed with the decision by the Coordinator General, Mr Barry Broe.

“I will work closely with my colleagues in a united effort to have this decision changed,” Mr Hart said.

“Like my other Gold Coast colleagues, I am deeply disappointed by this decision and will be having further discussions with the Deputy Premier,” the Member for Currumbin Jann Stuckey MP said.

Member for Mudgeeraba Ros Bates MP is extremely concerned about the effects the now approved quarry will have on surrounding residents.

“None of us are happy with the decision released today and we will continue to tirelessly advocate for the positive outcome we have been lobbying for these many months,” she said.

The Southern Gold Coast MPs urge every resident who shares their concerns to contact the Coordinator General on the below details.
