Hop into Fleay’s Wildlife Park this Easter

Member for Burleigh Michael Hart MP is encouraging Gold Coast residents and visitors to celebrate the Easter long weekend at the popular David Fleay Wildlife Park, with adult tickets reduced to kids prices from 3 to 19 April.

“Families can join in the egg-citing activities this weekend, including meeting some of Australia’s most iconic wildlife, enjoying a ranger-guided wildlife show or participating in an Easter Bilby Adventure,” Mr Hart said.

“David Fleay Wildlife Park encourages community awareness, appreciation and understanding of Queensland’s protected areas and native wildlife, and inspires people to share in their conservation,” he said.

The park is home to many native Queensland species, from the unusual tree-kangaroos and cassowaries which live in tropical northern rainforests to the better known platypus, koalas and kangaroos.

“I’d encourage both first time visitors and those who may not have visited the park in some time to take advantage of this opportunity to discover its fantastic wildlife,” Mr Hart said.

“So why not pack a lunch and picnic in one of the park’s shaded amenity areas or enjoy food from Platters Café, so the family fun can continue all day.”

Mr Hart said reducing the entry fee offered locals and visitors the opportunity to learn more about the Park and was an activity for the whole family to enjoy over the long weekend.

David Fleay Wildlife Park is located on West Burleigh Road, West Burleigh and is open from 9am to 5pm each day.
