MR M HART ASKED MINISTER FOR POLICE AND CORRECTIVE SERVICES AND MINISTER FOR FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES (HON M RYAN)—

QUESTION:
Will the Minister advise if the contract for the supply of two new police helicopters has
been finalised yet, and if not, when it is expected to be finalised as the industry is
expecting a two year lead time will be required for delivery?

ANSWER:
I am advised by the Queensland Police Service (QPS) that the procurement process is
progressing.
Further, I am advised that the QPS is satisfied that arrangements are currently in place to
ensure POLAIR continues to enhance community safety by providing quality support to
frontline police.
